Malvern Autumn Show
On Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September 2022, I'll be at the Malvern Autumn Show.
While I am there I will be starting and working on a painting of some locally grown flowers.
It will be an A3 piece, on watercolour paper, drawn in pen and ink and coloured with watercolour.
I am doing this so people can see how I produce my work - and because I love seeing other artists at work when I'm visiting places!
I have decided to create this piece as a raffle prize, and so for the price of £1 you can be in with a chance of winning the painting.
It will be free to post in the UK, but if you live abroad I'll work and the postage and that will be an extra cost.
With each sale, I'll put your name on a physical raffle ticket that I'll have on my stall. The raffle will be drawn on Monday, and the winner e-mailed.
I have decided to open this up to all those that fancy entering the raffle, not just those that are able to visit on the day. I'll upload photos of the work in progress so you can see how it is evolving, both to the product page and to my social media channels. Should you win but want to gift the piece to someone else, you can just let me know their address if you win and I contact you for postage details.
This will close when the show does, at 6pm on Sunday evening. If you would like to buy a ticket you can do so here.
Shows like this can be quite expensive to attend, but I want to try them, and to do new things, but I'm trying to be pro-active about funding them. This is something I'm trying, as it is an idea that would appeal to me as a customer.
The flowers I'll be drawing were freshly picked on Thursday afternoon and grown by local farmer Ben Andrews, who grows and sells sunflowers for Able & Cole. Here is a picture of them soon after picking, the composition might change a bit by the time the flowers and I get to the show but this is what I'll be working from.
