Travel Sketchbook from 2006
In June 2006, a dear friend of mine and I left the UK for a whistle-stop lap of the globe.
I took a pocket sketchbook with me. Sadly this was way before I'd started my approach of doing a 'drawing a day'. Had I been doing this the sketchbook would be such a lovely travel journal. As it was I was still very self conscious of sketching in public and rarely filled the pages. There are a few however and so I thought I'd share them here.
An Elephant in Koh Samui

Sentosa Merlion, Singapore
We went around the town walls of Xi'an (China) in a rickshaw, drew this as we went along.
Quick sketch from a boat, visiting the Floating Market in Thailand
