I have recently been focussing on a project based entirely on the Shipping Forecast as heard on BBC Radio 4. This card is a hand lettered piece - originally created full size for a tea towel design (which is also available here on the website) I thought it would make a nice greeting card too.
It features all 31 Sea Areas that feature in the Shipping Forecast, in the order that they appear in the forecasts on the radio. I wrote each one in a different way, enjoying the hand lettering. They were all written using a paintbrush and watercolour.
Fun for fans of brush lettering or modern calligraphy, hand lettering or typography.
This is an A6 greeting card that is printed on recycled card and is blank inside. It is sold with a brown kraft envelope and in an optional clear cellophane bag. You can also get a set of three Shipping Forecast inspired cards which are also available here.
