Alice is running some of her 2 hour workshops for beginner's at Elderwood Books - a bookshop with Cafe in the same village as her studio. It is an opportunity to collaborate and for you to also visit the bookshop while visiting Brampton Bryan.
This Autumn winter we have three different workshops coming up and plans to continue this into the new year.
Each of these are designed for beginners, is 2 hours long and all the kit you need is provided and is yours to keep. Elderwood books will provide us with a drink and cake from their cafe during the workshop.
✏️On Thursday 24th September 10.30am-12.30 is Draw The Line - Beginner’s drawing. This workshop for anyone who would like to have a go at drawing or start keeping sketchbooks. Alice is rarely without her sketchbooks and does a drawing a day. This workshop is an introduction to documenting things through the drawn line through a series of fun exercises. No experience necessary. All kit is included, and yours to keep.
🌿On Thursday 29th October 10.30am-12.30 is a Beginner’s Botanical Watercolour workshop. We’ll keep things simple and just work with the colour green for this session and work with mark making and creating botanical motifs. We’ll discuss how we can use these to make designs, for things like cards, menus, place settings or Christmas designs for example.
✍🏼On Thursday 26th November 10.30am-12.30 is a beginner’s Modern Calligraphy workshop. We’ll learn how to use a dip pen and ink to create attractive modern calligraphy styles and how we can use these to make Christmas cards or tags for gifts or in other forms of labelling or design.
