Drawing Flowers with the art class
Everyone bought some blooms with them to the art class and we each chose one or two to study. I drew a Magnolia bloom and the group watched as I did it and I explained what I was looking at and thinking about as I drew while they asked any questions - before having a go themselves. -
Modern Calligraphy workshops
I have had such an enjoyable time running beginner's modern calligraphy workshops at my studio recently. This one was for a bride and her maid of honour - the workshop ran as usual and we thought about place names, table names and other ideas that they had for the wedding. -

Beginner's Botanical Watercolour Workshops...
This workshop came about because I use watercolours to work in. People have asked how I create my artwork and so I have been trying to break my process down into stages - and in this case, workshops.
As teaching watercolour is such a huge topic and not actually possible in just an hour and a half to two hours, I wrote this workshop with that timescale in mind. What we have is a bite sized introduction to the medium of watercolour. During the workshop we play about with basic watercolour techniques and start to build confidence using the paint
