Logfire Holidays Gwenoldy
I have just had a really lovely weekend away at Logfire Holidays, Gwenoldy, near Mold in North Wales.
Back in February Nicola who owns Logfire Holidays ran a giveaway competition on her Instagram account to win a stay in their new addition - a shepherd hut... and I won! I decided to go with my cousin as it had been ages since we had enjoyed a good catch up and we had a fab time.

Sketching outside with a HUGE piece of paper

Last week I took a big piece of paper out into the parkland near the studio and sketched using one of my homemade feather quills.

How to make a quill pen from a feather...
Last week I was given two new feathers. One we think belonged to a Red Kite - there are some that live near the studio and can be regularly heard and seen circling the skies. The other may have belonged to an Owl of some sort. I need to look it up. The arrival of these feathers, the Quentin Blake image and some recent appreciation of very inky drawings spurred me into action.
